Effective date: July 1, 2022 · Last updated: September 26, 2026
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Adoluna Corporation (“Adoluna,” “we,” “us”) handles personal information when you visit adolunapos.com (the “Website”), contact us or request a demo, or use our restaurant point-of-sale products, including Adoluna POS, the Adoluna kiosk, online ordering, the Adoluna Store Portal (Backoffice) and our mobile apps (together, the “Services”).

2. Our two roles
- Our own customers and website visitors. When restaurant owners, their staff, prospects and visitors interact with us directly, we decide how that information is used. This policy applies in full.
- Restaurant guests. When a restaurant uses our Services to take orders, payments, waitlist check-ins or send SMS updates to its guests, we process the guests’ information on behalf of that restaurant. The restaurant’s own privacy practices apply. Guests should contact the restaurant first, and we will help the restaurant respond.
3. Information we collect
- Information you give us: name, restaurant/business name, email, phone number, mailing and billing address, messages you send us, and account login details for the Services.
- Account and business data: store settings, menus, employee profiles your business enters (such as names, positions, passcodes, payroll information and driver’s license details if you choose to enter them), time cards, sales and transaction records, bookkeeping entries, customer lists you import, and gift card records.
- Payment information: card payments are processed by third-party payment processors and card terminals. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, app version, pages viewed, and logs and diagnostic data used to keep the Services secure and working.
- Location data: if you allow it, our consumer app may use your device location to show nearby restaurants and delivery options.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 7.
4. How we use information
To provide, operate and support the Services; to set up and bind devices; to process orders and payments on behalf of restaurants; to send service messages (including order, waitlist and verification SMS or voice calls); to respond to demo and quote requests; to improve and secure our Services; to bill for our Services; to send marketing only where permitted (you can opt out at any time); and to comply with law.
5. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only:
- with service providers who help us run the Services (for example, cloud hosting, payment processing, SMS/voice and push notification delivery, email, mapping, and customer support tools), under contracts that limit their use of the data;
- with the restaurant you ordered from, for guest orders;
- with third-party platforms your business chooses to connect (for example, delivery platforms);
- if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
6. Text messages (SMS)
If you give us or a restaurant your phone number, you may receive service text messages (for example, order status, waitlist updates or verification codes). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and START to resume. For help, contact us using the details above. We do not send marketing texts without the consent required by law.
7. Cookies and analytics
The Website uses cookies that are needed for it to work. We may also use analytics cookies to understand how the Website is used. You can control cookies in your browser settings. We do not currently respond to Do-Not-Track signals.
8. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your passwords and employee passcodes confidential.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on your state of residence and the privacy laws that apply to us, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal information or certain profiling. To make a request, contact us at info@adoluna.com. We will verify your request and respond as required by law. You may appeal a decision by replying to our response. Restaurant guests should send requests to the restaurant.
11. Children
Our Services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new “Last updated” date and, where required, notify you.
