Purpose: Set the tip pooling percentage. For: owners, managers.
Steps #
1. In the Backoffice left menu, click Service, choose an order type tab (e.g. Dine In) and scroll down to ① Tip Pooling (%) (with an ⓘ description).
2. Turn on the switch on the right and click the ② pencil to enter the percentage. The demo store’s Dine In is set to 10.00.
3. The other order types (To Go, Pick Up, Delivery) are set on their own tabs; all three are off in the demo store.
When an order type has tip pooling set, every employee’s tips have the pooling percentage deducted; the system only records it. View it per employee in Report on the POS (see 1.5.6 How to view, print or email POS reports); Report > Daily Summary in the Backoffice shows totals only.
