Purpose: Sell a gift card whose PIN was imported. The sell flow is the same as an ordinary gift card (see 1.11.1 How to sell a gift card); the only difference is that the card number and PIN were imported in the Backoffice (see 2.10.3 How to import PIN gift cards). These cards can be used in store and online. For: cashiers, managers.
Before you start: PIN gift cards must first have their card numbers and PINs imported in the Backoffice (see 2.10.3 How to import PIN gift cards). The sell flow is the same as 1.11.1 How to sell a gift card (pick a template / Custom → enter the card number → Confirm → Settle). The POS doesn’t ask for the PIN when selling—only when the guest pays with the card (see 1.3.3 How to pay with a gift card). If the card number was never imported, it sells as an ordinary (no-PIN) gift card. There is no separate “PIN card sell” button; use the ordinary sell flow.
Steps #
1. On the home screen tap Gift Card, then tap a template or Custom (see 1.11.1 How to sell a gift card).
2. In the Gift Card Sales window fill in:

① Gift Card Number*: swipe or type the imported PIN card’s number.

② Face Value*: the card value.

③ Sale Price*: the selling price.

④ Valid Thru: the expiry date in MM/DD/YYYY; can be left blank.

⑤ Holder: the cardholder, optional.
Tap ⑥ Confirm.
3. On the gift card list, tap a template (① e.g. $10 Gift Card).
4. In Gift Card Sales fill in ② the card number, face value, and so on (holder optional), then tap Confirm.
The card appears on the left as an order line (③).
5. Tap Settle to take payment (see 1.11.1 How to sell a gift card); Payment Result (④) opens when it succeeds.
6. Give the card to the customer and remind them to keep the PIN safe. When paying with a PIN card, the POS asks for the PIN (see 1.3.3 How to pay with a gift card).

Once sold, the card can be found in the Backoffice under Gift Card Records (see 2.10.2 How to view, export and freeze gift card records).
